Background
Ramanan Raghavendran is an Investment Advisor at Staley Capital, with experience leading venture capital and growth equity investments in the United States, Asia, Western Europe, and Latin America. His investment interests are concentrated in enterprise SaaS, business services, and the consumer internet. Most of Ramanan’s investments over the last decade have had a significant international or cross-border component. Currently, he is a Managing Partner at Amasia, a San Francisco-based venture capital firm that invests in cross-border technology companies. Ramanan was formerly a partner at T.H. Lee Putnam Ventures alongside Renny Smith. In addition, he was previously an investor at General Atlantic, Insight Venture Partners, ConnectCapital (with Amit Basak), and Kubera Partners. Ramanan began his career at McKinsey & Company.
Ramanan is currently a Trustee of the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a Trustee of Magic Bus Global, a non-profit that works with 400,000 at-risk children. Ramanan has a B.S. in Economics, a B.S.E. in Computer Science and Engineering, and a Master of Liberal Arts, all from the University of Pennsylvania.
