Background
Amit Basak is an Operating Advisor at Staley Capital and a seasoned executive with management experience in the fields of direct sales, product marketing, and operations. Amit also has extensive private equity investing experience, including as a Co-Founder of Staley Capital with Renny Smith. Amit has served on the boards of two Staley Capital portfolio companies, including as Chairman of Acclaris (acquired by Willis Towers Watson) and as a director of ClickSquared (acquired by Zeta Global).
Currently, Amit is the President, Chairman, and Co-Founder of Full Potential Solutions, a technology-enabled, performance-based outsourcing business. Previously, he was President of Goji, an online insurance agency that combines human expertise and smart technology to match consumers with insurers, and served as COO and CFO of Affinity Express, a business process outsourcing company specializing in graphics production. Additionally, Amit formerly held management positions at a number of software and tech-enabled services companies, which include ClickSquared, Compete (acquired by WPP), and Yantra Corporation (acquired by Sterling Commerce/IBM). In private equity, Amit was an investor at ConnectCapital (with Ramanan Raghavendran), and at J.H. Whitney & Co. He began his career in investment banking at Morgan Stanley.
Amit currently serves on the boards of Affinity Express and Nashoba Learning Group, a private school dedicated to helping people with autism realize their potential. He formerly was a board director of Proginet (acquired by Tibco) and Integreon, in addition to his board positions at Staley Capital. Amit graduated cum laude from Yale University with a B.A. in Ethics, Politics & Economics and received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
