Amit Basak

Amit Basak is a private equity investor with executive management experience in the fields of general management, direct sales and product marketing.

In private equity, Amit worked at ConnectCapital, an affiliate of Insight Venture Partner focused on U.S.-India cross-border investing. Before ConnectCapital, he was at J.H. Whitney & Co. Amit began his career as an investment banker in the M&A department at Morgan Stanley.

Amit's executive management experience includes serving as Interim COO and CFO of Affinity Express, a BPO company specializing in graphics production from 2007 to March 2008. From 2003 to 2007, he was General Manager of ClickSquared, Inc., a leading provider of outsourced marketing services for the Fortune 500. Prior to this, Amit was Director of Marketing at market research firm, Compete, Inc. Earlier in his career, Amit ran product marketing at Yantra Corporation, an enterprise software company in the supply chain planning and execution space.

Amit serves as a Director at Acclaris (www.acclaris.com), Affinity Express (with Alfredo Ayala), ClickSquared (www.clicksquared.com), and The Nashoba Learning Group, which is a private school dedicated to helping people with autism realize their potential.

Amit received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and graduated cum laude from Yale University with a B.A. in Ethics, Politics & Economics.
